My Hero by Norah Monaghan
In our last unit we talked about heroes and the hero journey. One of my heroes is my grandma. She is the toughest person I have ever met. Even though is a very petite lady, she is never afraid to tell anyone else in my family, or anyone in general, what she wants or what they should be doing. I admire how she tells people what she wants and how assertive she is. She is always honest and always tells it how it is. My grandma grew up in New York City and was the second oldest in her family. Even though she wasn't the oldest, she took it upon herself to always protect her siblings. She made sure she was always there to back them up. As an adult, my grandma had 6 kids in total. She worked long nights to help make enough money for her family. During the days she cleaned, cooked, and took care of the kids when my grandpa was working.
