Gabby the Bully: By Charlotte Putnam

All the time I have these great ideas. And every time I am shot down by the one and only Gabby Canzoniero.

All summer my friends and I have loved this app called "Tik Tok". We would have so much fun making them. We would choose the best sound and do a funny dance or a skit to them. I was showing my friends my newest one as I thought it was very good. It was about one of my favorite movies being taken off Netflix. Gabby simply shrugged and said it was "Okay". Just now as I was talking to her about my blog she said "My tik toks are better" in response to reading this.

Recently at tennis we have been doing this thing where we all talk in accents. Gabby first started this because she wanted to practice her British accent because it's gotten pretty good after watching her favorite show, Downton Abbey. Pretty soon the whole team joined in doing accents. Wanting to join in the fun, I, too, started using a British accent. Gabby told me mine was very bad by saying "Stopppp itttt, yours is very bad". Now the only word I say with an accent is "Stopppp itttt" as it's the only one I can do very well.

Last weekend on sunday the 15th varsity tennis did a team bonding thing where we all went apple picking. Gabby and I decided to share a bag because that would be easier and cheaper. We we leaving after everyone got their apples and Gabby spotted this beatutiful apple, it looked right out of Snow White. After Paige (one of the girls on our team) got the apple down for Gabby, everyone decided to search for their own pretty apple. And I found one!! I got the apple down and it was a pretty apple, and instead of complimenting my apple Gabby simply said hers was better.

But it's all okay because I know she loves me at heart and it's all in good fun and just jokes.

          When I contemplate what is most important in my life, my mind is drawn to my 21-year-old brother, Tom. There are not enough words in the English language I could use to describe what he means to me. I cannot imagine the past fifteen years of my life without him. Allow me to start from the beginning.           Even when I was an infant, he never failed to take me out of my crib, strap me in my high chair, and cook scrambled eggs for us (at the tender age of six). Not Fate, Just a Coincidence - Sila Paniker

The idea of fate confuses me. I don't really understand how something will happen no matter what you do. It just seems very unlikely. I think we're constantly making choices that lead to occurrences. We make so many decisions a day that it seems impossible that fate can find a way around it all.  Awhile ago, I saw something called the Butterfly Effect, which doesn't exactly relate to fate but it makes sense to me. The idea is that a butterfly flapping its wings can cause a tornado on the other side of the world. Essentially, small changes can have large impacts. In my head, this connects with the thousands of tiny decisions we subconsciously make each day. There are people I've met or things that have happened and it feels like it was meant to be but they're just a bunch of coincidences that had the ability to change everything.
