Jokes, Pick Up Lines, and Riddles By: Sofia Horowitz

Whenever people are feeling stressed or depressed, a good way to cheer up is by having a good laugh. That's what I'm trying to accomplish to lighten up your day with some jokes, pick up lines (family friendly), and riddles. If you would like a good laugh keep reading, if you don't like to laugh then leave you are not welcomed here.

 Jokes:
  • The other night there was a storm and 25% of my roof was destroyed. 
    • Oof.
  • What is the Devils favorite type of cookie?
    • One with more-soles.
  • You don't need a parachute to go skydiving.
    • Only if you want to go again. 
  • Someone stool my mood ring.
    • I don't know how I feel about that.
  • My Grandfather has the heart of a lion...
    • and a lifetime ban from the zoo.
  • "Just say no to drugs"
    • "Well, if I'm talking to my drugs... I probably already said yes."
Pick Up Lines:
  • I went to the doctor and he told me I was lacking some Vitamin-U.
  • Are you my history assignment because you're DBCute.
  • Can I take your picture? I wanna show Santa what I want for Christmas. 
  • If you were a pill, I'd overdose. 
  • Are you sure you’re not tired? You’ve been running through my mind all day.
  • Sorry, but you owe me a drink. [Why?] Because when I looked at you, I dropped mine.
  • Do you believe in love at first sight—or should I walk by again?
  • Are you a cat because I'm feline a connection between us
  • I’m not drunk, I’m just intoxicated by you.
Riddles (answers at the bottom):
  • What are you given that other people use more than you?
  • What can you catch, but not throw?
  • What has roots as nobody sees, Is taller than trees, Up, up it goes, And yet never grows?
  • My life can be measured in hours, I serve by being devoured. Thin, I am quick. Fat, I am slow. Wind is my foe. What am I?
  • Before Mount Everest was discovered, what was the highest mountain on Earth?
  • Always in you, Sometimes on you; If I surround you, I can kill you, What am I? 
Riddle Answers (in order): Your name. A cold (or feelings). A mountain. Candle. Mt. Everest. Water.

    I like these a lot because I haven't heard most of the jokes, pick up lines, or riddles before, which made this blog a lot of fun to read!

          When I contemplate what is most important in my life, my mind is drawn to my 21-year-old brother, Tom. There are not enough words in the English language I could use to describe what he means to me. I cannot imagine the past fifteen years of my life without him. Allow me to start from the beginning.           Even when I was an infant, he never failed to take me out of my crib, strap me in my high chair, and cook scrambled eggs for us (at the tender age of six). Not Fate, Just a Coincidence - Sila Paniker

The idea of fate confuses me. I don't really understand how something will happen no matter what you do. It just seems very unlikely. I think we're constantly making choices that lead to occurrences. We make so many decisions a day that it seems impossible that fate can find a way around it all.  Awhile ago, I saw something called the Butterfly Effect, which doesn't exactly relate to fate but it makes sense to me. The idea is that a butterfly flapping its wings can cause a tornado on the other side of the world. Essentially, small changes can have large impacts. In my head, this connects with the thousands of tiny decisions we subconsciously make each day. There are people I've met or things that have happened and it feels like it was meant to be but they're just a bunch of coincidences that had the ability to change everything.
