What's Important to Me by Gabby Olarte
I have lots of things that are important to me, as I'm sure you do too. Yes, my family, school, and sports are important to me but my friends are a different type of importance. They get me through each day and are always there for me. I cannot think of a time where I needed them and they weren't there. My friends are people who I have shared some of the best moments of my life with. They've seen me at my highs and my lows. I appreciate them all so much.
When I look back my happiest moments, it's always those with my friends. For example, over the summer I went down the shore with Alex and we had the time of our lives. One of my favorite memories of that trip is when we went to Asbury Park boardwalk. We had shaved ice (which was the most delicious thing I have ever tasted) and it started to rain lightly on us. We decided to go back to the car (which was a jeep with the top down) when all of a sudden it started down pouring. We were driving back to her house through the pour rain and also hail. By the time we got back we were soaking wet, but it made for a great memory. It's times like these I cherish with my friends because they make me forget about all the other worries and life and I just enjoy the moment.
Another reason why my friends are so important to me is because they are like my therapists. Whenever I have a problem or even need some simple advice, they are always willing to help me which I am so thankful for. They give me the best advice and guide me through any difficult situation. We cry together, we laugh together, and we go through live together. I honestly don't know what I would do if I didn't have my friends which is why they are so important to me.
