work by charlotte putnam
Every Tuesday I have to walk past the entire Sparta Lacrosse Boys team and whatever Sparta boys are working out that day and go to work. And while this is super uncomfortable, I actually don't mind work.

I play with 6-8 year old's which Elise (the coach) and I call the peewee's and they are a big group of kids of about 7. I have a lot of fun with these kids, and they love me. But sadly I have to stop working for a bit because of lacrosse.
While work usually goes similar every week, here are some of the most memorable moments.
Some days the kids are extra hyper like last Tuesday. The boys were extra energetic and on a huge sugar rush. Whoever thought it was a good idea to give 7 year old's a lot of sugar did not think that one through. None of them could stand still.
One girls brought Elise and I stickers
An older brother accidentally hit his younger brother in the eye so he couldn't see for a bit. He had to sit with his mom for five minutes, but then he came running back down to the court and forgot all about it.
The kids called me a target because I was wearing red and aimed for me. Which I always managed to dodge.
One boy brought fruit snacks for everyone (while it was sweet it caused a major sugar rush and made it hard to handle the kids)
One of the girls little brothers runs around at the end to help clean up the tennis balls.
And how one of the girls runs and gives me a hug before every lesson
Working with young kids is always interesting!
