Eternal Atake: The Verdict - Bektur

It's finally here! Eternal Atake, the highly anticpated album by Lil Uzi Vert. This album was first mention in 2018, a year after his last album Luv is Rage 2, and has been postponed time and time again. But not now. 2 years later and we finally have the fruit of our patient waiting. Well, it wasn't exactly patient. One of the reasons this album was postponed this much was because fans have leaked a staggering amount of songs that probably would've been on the album. And Uzi had to make new songs, because, who would want to release something that people have already heard? Combine that with record troubles, and you can start to understand why there was such a long wait. But with any long wait, the question always arises, was it worth it?

The answer is yes. For me at least. Originally I really disliked the album, and was just dissapointed, but overtime with each re-listen, everything started to grow on me and before long, my head was bobbing with almost each song. Eternal Atake in general has a shift in style from his usual melodic, almost sing rapping, to a more fast paced flow, focused on bars, still with some melody though. A lot of the beats on these different songs are also trappier and darker than his usual songs, which goes along with his faster flow well. Examples of a faster flow and/or darker beat include You Better Move, Silly Watch, POP, Homecoming and Lo Mein. Of course he still has his melodic style, but it was just cool to hear him speed it up, which I thought he couldn't really do before.
Here is my ranking of all the songs:
1.Prices
2.Venetia                                                              ( I have a hard time ranking songs, so they all
3.Silly Watch                                                         probably could be interchanged with the song next
4.Celebration Station                                                to them)
5. Secure the Bag
6.Homecoming
7.Baby Pluto
8.Bust Me
9.POP
10.Futsal Shuffle
11.That Way
12.P2
13.Urgency
14.I'm Sorry
---------------------------------------------- Playlist Cutoff
15.You Better Move
16.Lo Mein
17.Bigger Than Life
18. Chrome Heart Tags

So overall, a really good album. But wait, there's more! Lil Uzi said in a tweet that he only dropped one half of Eternal Atake and named a bunch of leaks that would finally see the light of day in the deluxe version. And as I'm writing this, he said he would drop the deluxe today! 14 more songs, with a list of features, which is one of the things I thought was missing in Eternal Atake. The album is definitely going to hit no. 1. Definitely.
