Rapper DaBaby Slaps a Woman at a Party by Talia Criso
On March 8, 2020, a video of 28 year old Jonathan Lyndale Kirk, or DaBaby, was released by TMZ. In the video, the rapper can be seen forcefully slapping a woman in the crowd of people at a nightclub in North Tampa. The video is spreading quickly on twitter and other platforms, and DaBaby reputation is getting destroyed. However, DaBaby claims it was because she had hit him in the eye with her phone while trying to get a picture with him. After this, he retaliates by hitting her back, though it´s debatable whether this was a fit punishment
DaBaby posted a video on his Instagram story in response to the situation, claiming he will give $10K to anyone who has a better angle of the incident, where you can see her hit him in the eye. So far there is only 1 video in circulation, where it is unclear to see whether she hit him or not. He posted another video on his Instagram story saying, ¨Who know shawty government name so my lawyer can get active?¨
DaBaby just got released from jail in January for punching a music promoter who he claims did not give him the money he said he would. Investigators were told that the rapper also took the victim´s phone, bank card and some cash.
This is a dangerous situation for DaBaby´s career, considering he got boo´d off stage after and did not perform an songs at the after party. This could also result in a major lawsuit, and possible charges. The only thing that could help him in this situation would be for someone to post a video where you can see her hit him in the eye with her phone, so he can claim it was self-defense. Until then, the rapper´s position is on the line.
1. Footage of DaBaby slapping a woman at an after party
2. A clip from DaBaby´s Instagram story, where he offers $10K to anyone with additional footage
3. A clip from DaBaby´s Instagram story, where he asks if anyone knows the woman´s name
This doesn't sound good at all.
