Currently, it feels like we are living in the apocalypse. Due to the coronavirus, almost everything has shut down. Our country has gone into a panic. Business, restaurants, theaters, bars, gyms, everything, are all being shut down to stop the spread of the coronavirus. Since no one in our county has been diagnosed yet, the whole situation still seems surreal to many people living here. We see everything closing, but we don't see the real reason why. If you ask any adult, they will tell you this is truly the first time something like this has happened. We have had deadly diseases before, but we have never gone into complete isolation like this prior to now. All schools have been shut down and we are now trying to navigate through the realm of online learning, it's new for all of us, teachers, students, parents, we are all taking a hit from this virus. As of now, the virus has only been spreading faster and further as time goes on, and no one knows just when this will stop. Our country has declared a state of emergency and we have eve been put on a restrictive curfew from 5AM to 8PM. If just seeing and hearing all of this doesn't put someone into a panic, the grocery stores will. The second you walk into the supermarket it's like you have entered an alternate universe. It's a pure zone of panic. Shelves wiped clean of basic necessities like toilet paper, paper towels, hand sanitizer, and many foods, just because people are worried they might not have the luxury of leaving their houses to get these items in the very near future. The country is in a frenzy of worry and nervosity and it has only been getting worse and worse. When will this end?
It is so crazy!
ReplyDeleteThis is truly uncharted territory for all of us and it will be very interesting to see how we "restart society."
