Amazon Online Shopping- Hayley Ouimette

At the beginning of quarantine, I decided I needed to give my room a good clean to start it off. I have this old bin in my room with a bunch of random things in it including a huge stack of gift cards from when I was like 13. In that stack, I found a bunch of Amazon gift cards. With years of getting Amazon Giftcards form my uncles for Christmas, I had a good amount added up. With that, I've been busy. I have bought so many random things from earrings to a skateboard. Everything I buy I make sure its amazon prime so it comes quick and easy to return if I don't like it. My parents approve everything I get to make sure it's nothing too unreasonable. One thing that took some convincing was a lava lamp. It pretty big but super cool but with some talking to, they agreed. I've got T-shirts, sweatpants, and even dresses. It's fun to look on the website for the coolest things live salt lamps, heelies, hair dye, etc. Oh yeah, I bought pink hair dye but then chickened out and dyed my dog's hair instead (I've been pretty bored if you couldn't tell). I hate spending my money and save all of it, but with gift cards, you cant save that so for the first time I've actually been buying things. My wishlist is filled with things and I usually let it sit there for a while to make sure I really want it. This has proved to be a good system and I've only had to return a few things, but, that was only done to wrong sizes or it didn't work in my room. This keeps me busy while not spending my actual money on things at other online stores. I say look in your room or wallet or wherever you keep your gift cards and see what you have. It's less guilty buying but still get really good things.

  1. I asked my mom if I could buy books from Amazon and she said no. She says we have to keep the gift card in case we need to panic buy food from Amazon.
