Cats or dogs? By Riley Taylor

Cats or Dogs? By Riley Taylor

The other day I was making breakfast. My favorite of all. Egg white with a little bit of salt. When my cat walked into the room. I thought he was being the most adorable thing by just simply existing so I walked right over to him, picked him up, and held him for a little bit before putting him on our couch so he could get some rest. Immediately after, my sister who was sitting in the dining room asked me, "Do you even like dogs anymore?" This question got me thinking. Of course I love my dogs. We have two of them, a chocolate and a yellow lab. But before I got a cat I considered myself a dog person. The answer to my sisters question was "yes of course." But that got me thinking. Which do I like more. Cats or dogs.
Its actually a bit difficult to chose just one. I've had dogs my entire life and it is weird to think one cat would make me like cats more than dogs. But when you are just holding a cat it feels like all of the troubles of the world melt away and all that matters is this moment.
I think it is safe to say that when it comes to the question of whether I like cats or dogs more, the answer is irrelevant. I don't consider myself a cat person, and I don't consider myself a dog person. I consider myself an animal person. I really think that having to chose one animal to say you like the most is unfair. Why can't you just love them all?
