Online School Makes Me Want to Scream -Paige De Giovanni

After doing online school for over a month now I've come to a conclusion: I really really hate it. Now don't get me wrong, it's necessary right now has its benefits ex. being able to wake up late and stay home but it's also super annoying.

Every time I get a classroom notification for another assignment stacked up on top of another I feel like I'm drowning and most of my teachers have us doing more outside of school than we ever did in school. For example, my math teacher had us doing 15-20 questions of work every day which doesn't seem like much but normally inside the classroom, we did 5-10. My french teacher assigns us paragraphs to write, questions to do, and sometimes video type projects to do every day as well as meetings, (trust me when I tell you we don't do that much in a week in his class). AV, the class I took for fun literally sucks now because we can't film or edit anything so now we have to write papers on documentaries and in history we have to do GROUP PROJECTS TO TEACH EACH OTHER.

GROUP PROJECTS.   IN QUARANTINE.

Don't get me wrong, me, Hayden and Luca are gonna facetime at some point and slay the assignment but I honestly don't know why a group project is the best idea right now. I don't trust myself to teach my classmates to pass the test on the unit and I don't trust my classmates to teach me. At least we can use google now. The number of times I've snapped people saying "I'm gonna scream" because of all my work (lol) throughout the 5+ hours I've been working today is insane. And it's only Monday. `
(This such a petty blog post I'm so sorry).

It's just way too much for my small smooth brain to handle.

  1. Oh same. In some classes it's like we do more work than we did before, and in others we can't do nearly as many activities as we could in class. The (dare I say) fun of school is pretty much gone.

  2. I'm sorry that the work is piling up. That really does stink. Let's hope we can get through this and never have to do it again.

  3. I totally agree! It's especially hard because I took a science elective and we were supposed to do fun labs that we can't do now because we're not in school.

  4. I relate to this 100% - especially the feeling of dread upon seeing the endless classroom notifications.

  5. YES!!!! Like there should just be quick check-ins now that finals are over and then we all move on!

  6. I legit feel this. I honestly hate online school and I haven't learned anything at all. Seriously classes feel optional rather than mandatory and it's really impacting how I retain stuff. Also I love the meme!
