Quarentien Life: Anthony Del Coro

About 8 weeks ago the entire dynamic of my life changed. I could wake up after 9 o'clock and do my school work whenever I want. Although most days I cram all of the work into the first one or two hours so by 11 I have absolutely nothing to do. At the beginning of this lockdown I tried to run everyday but slowly it was every other day, to mondays and thursdays, then to fridays, Fast forward to today and i haven't gone on a run in two weeks. But I told myself I would start running in May, we'll see how that goes.

On top of the unimaginable level of boredom, especially because it feels like i've watched every good show on netflix already, I really miss spending times with friends in school and outside, as well as participating in track. At this point it doesn't seem like we will have a season at all this year, i'm not complaining but it really does suck for juniors and seniors who where looking to get times for colleges to look at.

Elaborating on that, the seniors are going into an economically unstable job market next year, with little to know jobs available right now. Finding a summer job this year is probably going to be hard because most places might not be able to open again, like restaurants. Only time will tell.

Despite all of the boredom I have found some stuff to do, I have found a job working for a few of my neighbors doing odd jobs after I finish my work. I've taken up baking, although I'm not amazing at it. But my banana bread was pretty good. And I've started a project down at beach 3. So all together I would say I have a pretty full day. Now don't get me wrong, I still have hours of free time. But it is still alot less then I did originally.

  1. I love that you're doing odd jobs and baking! I think you're right that it will be hard to find a summer job, which really stinks for many people.

  2. I was very excited to see how you, as well as other people are doing because I already know that I am extremely bored, so it was good to hear how you are doing.
