Staying Occupied- Liv Romano
Throughout this quarantine, I have become extremely bored. However, I have found many things to keep me occupied. I'm gonna share with you some things that I do and hopefully, you can use them too!
1. Bike Rides. I go on bike rides almost every day and I really enjoy them. It's a great way to have fun and stay active at the same time. I usually go with my brother and we try to find new places to go every time. First, we ride around our neighborhood and eventually find any paths or small roads to take. Sometimes it's fun to get lost.
2. Painting. Although I am not the best painter, I have had a lot of fun with it. It takes my mind off things and I find it to be very therapeutic. The great thing about painting is that it doesn't have any requirements. You can paint anything that comes to mind!
3. Binge-watch TV. I love watching TV and find binge-watching pretty enjoyable. Recently, Netflix released a new series called the Outer Banks. I bet most of you have heard of it because of how popular it has become. I watched the series in less than 48 hours!! I got so into it and I couldn't stop! I definitely recommend this show if you haven't seen it already.
4. Baking. I've never been a big baker until quarantine started. Recently, I've baked anything you can think of; cookies, banana bread, brownies, cake, etc. It's kind of like painting because it takes your mind off of things. I find it to be quite relaxing. At first, I didn't think I would have fun baking, but now, I can't stop!
5. Learn to play a new instrument. Once again, I haven't been a very musical person. However, quarantine has inspired me to play an instrument. I decided that I would like to try the guitar. I went on amazon the other day and ordered a guitar! It's supposed to come on Tuesday and I can't wait! Learning to play will definitely keep me occupied.
6. Facetime friends. It stinks not being able to hang out with your friends in person, but at least there is facetime. Recently, I was able to get my friends Casey and Rachel to watch One Tree Hill. Anytime they reach an important episode, I facetime them, along with Sofia, to watch their reactions. We talk about the show but usually get off topic. It's still fun being able to talk to them.
7. Playing soccer. Soccer is my favorite sport, so I use this time to get better. My coach posts workouts every week that I use to improve my skills. I also like to juggle the soccer ball and shoot at the goal in my backyard. I even beat my juggling record!
8. Working out. I do not like to workout, but it keeps me busy! I've been doing the Chloe Ting ab workouts and they kill me every time. Although I don't enjoy doing them, I feel myself getting stronger, which is a great feeling!
I hope I gave you some ideas to stay occupied! Use this quarantine to try new things! It's the perfect opportunity because we have all this time on our hands!!
