General Thoughts about Being in Quarantine by Nate Miller
Right when we went into quarantine, I thought it was going to be great because I wouldn't have to go to school for 7 hours a day. However, two weeks later, I got bored of doing the same thing every day and I couldn't find anything that could occupy me after I finished my schoolwork. My parents work for most of the day and my brothers plays video games in the basement all day, so I had no one to spend time with. Then, I started to watch every show or movie that I could find on Netflix that I might like, but nothing seemed to make me as excited as spending time with my friends or just generally being with other people. I also struggle to run or work out as much as I should because I lack the ambition to do it now, but I still go for a bike ride almost every day because it is super relaxing.
Now that the corona virus is becoming less concerning, I can spend time with my neighbors and friends, and it is making it much easier for me to entertain myself. Once a week, for the past two weeks, my friends and I have gone for a bike ride. It is so great to be able to actually talk to them face to face and I enjoy spending time with them because sometimes I just want to have a little space from my family. Although being quarantined started to become difficult for me to handle, it is starting to get better now that I have friends and other people that I can see and talk to.
What have others been doing to get through this quarantine? It would be great to hear from others and hear how you are all doing right now.
The bike riding has been very helpful for sure!
