I genuinely can not fathom the idea of being a junior next year. I can't believe the fact that I'm going to be an upperclassman, that all of my friends will be upperclassmen. I still feel like I'm in the eighth grade playing dodgeball during gym. I feel like it was yesterday that I was in the 8th-grade art room at the sink with my smock on with my friend Ally, throwing paint at each other after class. I feel like it was yesterday that I was in the middle school field, right before summer, playing kan jam with my friend Jules every day in gym. I feel like it was yesterday that I was in my math class 8th grade with Mr.Kopp laughing every single day as we walked into his classroom, and him always asking "what's so funny?" And we just laughed even harder at the fact. There's no way. There is no way that I am going to be a junior. There's no way I have two more years until me and my friends all go our separate ways. There's no way that I am so close to the finish line when I feel like the race has really just begun. I feel it was just last week that I was in high school for my first day. Terrified of everything and showing up to every one of my classes 20 minutes late because I was so confused on where they were but I couldn't ask anybody for help because I was embarrassed. I still remember the night before the first day of freshman year, stressing out over if I should wear my light green short sleeve, my navy blue long sleeve, or my white short sleeve. I chose the white short sleeve. This is all going way to fast. I'm scared. I'm excited. I'm nervous. I don't know what the future holds, but I am hoping it will be great, better than great.
I feel the same way! I can't believe we're taking the SAT's next year, also.
ReplyDeleteI feel like the first two years have gone by so quickly!
ReplyDeleteThe future will be better than great! But enjoy every moment of the next two years because they will go even faster than the first two.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe we are almost juniors already!!
ReplyDeleteSame! I feel like I'm still a freshman sometimes.
