Changes in Sophomore Year of High School - Adam Bova

In this blog post, I am supposed to talk about this school year, so I'll discuss a couple of big changes for me this school year. There are many new changes between freshman and sophomore years. I'm most excited about starting to learn to drive. Now that we're all sophomores, many of us are turning sixteen this year. This means that we'll be able to get our learner's permits, and once we are seventeen, we can get a driver's license. Once we get a license, we will be able to sleep in longer and it will be easier to get to and from school. Driving will make school a lot more enjoyable. I just turned sixteen last week, which means I can drive six hours with an instructor to get my permit. I'm really excited about learning to drive, but it makes me wonder how hard it will be. Will I take months, or even years, to master it or will it be easy right when I get behind the wheel? Drivers education is pretty easy, but it's in a classroom. It's nothing compared to being out on the road. Most people make driving look easy, but it seems more intimidating when you've never done it. With many people turning sixteen this year, I'm curious to see whether or not our grade is good at driving.
Another big change that I face this school year is that my sister is at college. Any time I had a question on a homework assignment, or needed help studying for a test, she would always help me. She also gave me a ride to school every day. This allowed me to sleep in an extra fifteen or twenty minutes. This doesn't seem like a lot, but it made a big difference to be able to have that little bit of extra sleep every day. I will definitely miss having a sister around for these and other reasons. This school year will be very different in many positive and negative ways
