School- Maybe Cool?

By: Igli Haxhillari

Most people think about school as another wall to get over, another issue to deal with before continuing on with the rest of their lives. Though, everyone has their issues with school, myself included, I still think of it as the crossroads to the rest of your life. My thought is that what you choose to do in school and what actions you take reflect upon you for the rest of your life. High school decisions decide if you get into a good college or not and college decisions decide whether you get a good job or not, so it really seems that your future depends on how much hard work you put into your life, because one little mistake and you are finished; although, of course there are different tasks one can put into their lives to save themselves, but not everyone cares, only when they reach the stage where they need a job to keep living they start wishing that they had worked harder in the past, but now it’s too late. They try to move up the chain, but they don’t have much to offer, so now they are working themselves to death for little pay, and they are barely surviving, and what for? Because they decided to go and party instead of studying, they decided to go have fun for the time and dread later, instead of work hard and party and relax for the rest of their lives and that is the issue with many Americans. Unless they have a way to actually be set financially, they should be saving themselves for the future. I'm not saying that money is everything, because life is more about just money, it's about exploring, learning, experiencing, just living to the fullest, but in our sad world, the only way that you are ever going to get anything is with currency and that currency needs to be earned, so back to problem number one, hard work will reward you.

  1. You're right that hard work will get you farther and most people don't wish they worked harder until it was too late. You're lucky to realize this now!
