The iPhone 11 by Casey Coleman

When I was in Kindergarten, the iPhone 4 was released. I remember a few weeks later my mom bought the new device and my siblings and I were fascinated. As we grew up, we got iPads, iPods, and eventually as we were entering middle school, we got iPhones. My first phone was the iPhone 5C in blue when I was in 5th grade. I was beyond excited to have my own phone like my friends.
On September 20th, 2019, Apple released its new iPhone, the iPhone 11. This new phone followed suit with the iPhone X (10) as it had no home button and face id. The major addition that the iPhone 11 had was that it had three cameras! Many consumers of past Apple products expressed their opinion in saying there's no need for three cameras and that the multiple cameras make the phone ugly. Although people keep digging at the company's latest release, these critics have not stopped people from purchasing the iPhone. This weekend I was at the Rockaway Mall with my sister and saw three different shoppers with the iPhone 11. Apple strategically priced the iPhone 11 at $699 for 64GB whereas when the iPhone X was released it was $999 for 64GB. In my marketing class, we discussed why Apple would price the new phone so low. We learned that Apple made more sales with the lower price than it would have at a higher price. We also learned that Apple's next iPhone release will most likely be way more expensive.
I currently have my mom's old iPhone 6S as I broke my iPhone 7 this past summer. Personally, I do not care what phone I have as long as it is functioning. My only complaint with my current iPhone is that it's camera is broken, other than that I am pretty content with my phone. Although,  I would be extremely satisfied if I got a more recent phone.

  1. I have a 7 and only got that when my 4 exploded.....I wish they'd last longer because I don't want a big phone.

  2. I feel the same!! My parents asked if I wanted the new iphone for christmas and I was like... no way the camera is going to make me feel 10x more self-conscious than I already am

  3. I have always found it interesting how Apple prices its products so high and yet people still went crazy and bought it. I mean i get why , it is new and everyone wants to try it but it does the same thing as an iPhone 7. Which so many more people would keep their old phones it they didn't break or slow down and lose battery quicker.

  4. I have the Xr and I like it because the camera quality is really good and it has more storage on it, but at the same time I liked my 7 better. It was smaller so I felt like it was easier to carry around and I also liked the finger print ID and the home button better than face ID and no home button which is what the Xr has.

  5. I remember in 5th grade I got a hot pink iPhone 5 and I thought it was the best thing ever. It's really interesting how much the iPhone has evolved.

  7. I got my iPhone xr last ear when my 7 broke. My xr isn't much better than my 7, but I do like how it does have more storage and a better camera.

  8. When I first saw the price of the new iphone 11, I was so confused as to why it was so low compared to the Iphone X. After reading your blog that makes so much more sense and I didn't realize how much strategy they put into just pricing the phone itself!

  9. I have seen the new iPhones and the one with two cameras is nice, just different. I still don't know how I feel about the one with three cameras because its kind of a lot. But, I like Apple phones and I love getting the new phones when I can.

  10. I agree, all I need is a functioning phone. I feel like the cameras are a bit much but the phones hold more storage which is a huge plus. Great blog!
