Park City, Utah By: Olivia Enderle

The cabin next to the lake
Inside burns a warm and bright fire
As the marshmallows above the flames bake
The white world outside is responsible for our attire

A walk into a town filled with lights so bright
Everyone around filled with jolly
There is not a single frown insight
Due to the Christmas time holly

The crisp winter morning puts one thing in our minds
Grabbing our skis and heading to the mountain
Riding down the mountain is a feeling you just can't find
A feeling that keeps me grounded

The strapping of my shoes
The attachment of the skis
The heavy winter jacket is something you just can't refuse
The warmth in your gear puts you at ease

Above all, the ability to share it with my family
The ability to ski in the most wonderful town
The soft white mountains feel like a fantasy
Which makes me thankful all around

  1. This reminds me of a Hallmark movie but I love the vibes this poem gives off.
