Life Without Smartphones
Life Without Smartphones

It is easy to say that smartphones are a part of our everyday lives. We communicate on them, do work on them, connect with them. At this point in time, not having our phone on us makes it seem like we are cut off from the rest of world; you can't talk to anyone, and it makes you feel alone. Although, the reason we feel cut off when we don't have our smartphones is because we are interlocked. Everyone lives with their phones, so why is it so hard just to be unconnected from them? Humanity has never needed smartphones and they are so new that even our parents grew up without them. The main difference between the previous generation and us is that they had to go out and face their problems, and couldn't hide their emotions forever, while we could just go on our phones and get lost in time. So while smartphones have incredibly improved business, they have ruined the lives of many. The reason so many older people are successful in their lives is because when they were bored, they found a way to make their lives better just out of boredom. When we are bored, we go on our phones, play games, watch movies and shows, and just destroy critical time that we could use to better our own lives. Would it really be that hard to try going back to the 90s for a day?

We should go back for a day, or a week, or a month. I bet we'd realize we're really missing out.
