Some of my Favorite Books by Katie Groome
I don't really choose to spend my time reading that often, but when I get into a good book, I tend to enjoy reading. I don't necesarilly prefer a specific genre- I will read anything from fantasies to biographies. As long as the book takes me out of my world and puts me in another, I easily get sucked in. Here are some of my favorites- in no particular order- that I strongly suggest you read (even if you don't like reading) if you ever get the chance.
1. The Summer I Turned Pretty by Jenny Hann
2. A Night Divided by Jennifer A. Nielson
3. Little Women by Louisa May Alcott
I think my favorite part about this book is that there are two more books that come after it, so when you finish the first there is still so much more left to the story. In short, this fictional novel is about a 16 year old girl and her summer at the beach house she goes to every year. The book is never boring, and although cheesy at times, keeps you entertained throughout. Its a fun, very light read and it is especially great for the summer.

Unlike The Summer I Turned Pretty, this book focuses on a more severe and emotional topic, as it is written about a family divided for years by the Berlin Wall in Germany. Not only did this book emotionally attatch me to the characters and their story, but it also gave me some historical knowledge on an event in history I knew almost nothing about before reading. I've probably read it three times, so I highly suggest it to anyone.
This book is, as a lot of people know, a classic. It is about a family of four girls who live with their mother who each have strong opinions and passions in their lives. The book takes you through their lives, from romance to drama to comic events that occur. Little Women is not as modern as the other books, therefore it might be harder for some to read and enjoy. Nevertheless, this story is undeniably interesting and fun to become attatched to, as the family encounters hardships, prosperities and more.
I heard the newest Little Woman Movie is fantastic!
