A Day in the Life of Brittany: Quarantine Edition by Brittany Brannigan
This is new for all of us, the social distancing and the uncertainty of when life will ever go back to normal. I'm sure everyone, just like me, has the same daily routine right about now. Quarantine has given me a lot of time to really focus on myself and my relationships with my family members.
10:00AM
This is the time I usually wake up in the morning, unless of course I have a Google Meet. I go into my sister's room and wake her up. Then, we go upstairs together to have breakfast. Breakfast usually consists of either eggs and sausage or a smoothie. My sister likes to make her own "playa bowl". By this time, my mom is usually at our neighbors house (who we have been quarantined with) having a cup of coffee and my dad is working. This is the one thing I don't miss about normal school life. Waking up at 10:00AM is definitely better than waking up at 5:30AM. Thanks to quarantine, I am now very well rested.
1:00PM
From the time I eat breakfast to 1:00PM, all I do is homework. I like to do it all at one time so I have nothing to worry about for the rest of the day. I would say school usually takes me about 3 hours each day. To be honest, I don't mind distance learning at all. I feel like I have more independence and more time to get my work done. I definitely do miss seeing my friends everyday at school though. I haven't seen them in almost 2 months, which is really depressing. After awhile, it's tough to only be able to see them over Facetime. I would do anything to be able to see people, other than my immediate family members, and have a face-to-face conversation.
3:00PM
After eating lunch around 1:30PM, when all of my schoolwork is done, I workout. Throughout my entire quarantine experience, I have found that working out has helped me so much. Not just physically, but mentally and emotionally. It releases any anxiety or anxiousness I have from staying in the house all day, everyday. At first, I dread working out. The fact that I'm going to be all sweaty and exerting a lot of energy just seems like so much work. But once I start working out, it's like I can't stop. I would say that I workout for at least an hour and a half everyday, taking one rest day a week.
6:00PM
Dinner time. It's funny how quarantine has put my family on the same wavelength. It feels like everyday we eat every meal at the same time. With all of us having such busy schedules, it was hard for us all to sit down and have an actual meal together. Now that we're in quarantine, my family and I have had plenty of meals together. I don't mind it though, because I feel like it is much needed bonding time that I haven't seen in years.
Then, when the day is complete, my sister and I watch a movie or TV show together every night. Recently, we just finished the Netflix series Outerbanks. Outerbanks is by far my favorite show.
Repeat, 46 days in a row.

I agree that more sleep is a plus. Interesting that you quarantined with your neighbors, that must make it a little bit easier for sure. I also agree that exercise is keeping me sane!
