How to Teach Siblings to Resolve Their Own ArgumentsBuilt-in best friends. Some of us are lucky enough to have 1 or 2 and some are lucky to have even more. They are with you from birth, either yours are theirs. You know them for as long as you can remember. I have 4, two older and two younger. Sometimes I really wonder what life would be like without them. How boring my life would be. All 4 of them bring something different to my life, something unique that couldn't be replicated in a million years, even if someone tried. Together, they create chaos in my life, but sometimes, you need the insanity to keep you sane. I truly think that if I were to now self-isolate and be in an empty, quiet house for more than a couple hours, I would go berzerk. I sometimes wonder about the people who weren't as lucky as me and do not have these connections. I guess like anything else, you do not know what you have until its gone. So if they never knew the life I know, I guess they wouldn't know what they are missing. But now that I know what its like, I could never go back. I wouldn't know how. Ever since I was young, I have never had a dull moment. I have always been entertained by one of them. Luckily for me, because I have 4, it's easy for me to rotate if one of them annoys me, I have 3 more I can still go hang out with. As we have all grown older, our bond has only strengthened, and I can't wait until we all grow old and the bond is stronger than ever. I think that growing up with someone, its important. Because no one else knows you like they do. No one has seen the conditions you were raised in, the values you were taught, your growth, as much as those people. No matter what anyone says, they are the closest anyone will ever get to you. You may confide more in an outside person or your spouse, but no one will have the same experience as you did, everyone else will only hear stories of it. No one else lived it with you, except them.

    You're right- I think it would be difficult to be doing this as an only child. I watch my kids and they are lucky to have each other to play with and fight with!

          When I contemplate what is most important in my life, my mind is drawn to my 21-year-old brother, Tom. There are not enough words in the English language I could use to describe what he means to me. I cannot imagine the past fifteen years of my life without him. Allow me to start from the beginning.           Even when I was an infant, he never failed to take me out of my crib, strap me in my high chair, and cook scrambled eggs for us (at the tender age of six). He did this so my mother could catch up on sleep in the mornings and take care of me however he could. I only wish I could return the favour in some way. Not Fate, Just a Coincidence - Sila Paniker

The idea of fate confuses me. I don't really understand how something will happen no matter what you do. It just seems very unlikely. I think we're constantly making choices that lead to occurrences. We make so many decisions a day that it seems impossible that fate can find a way around it all.  Awhile ago, I saw something called the Butterfly Effect, which doesn't exactly relate to fate but it makes sense to me. The idea is that a butterfly flapping its wings can cause a tornado on the other side of the world. Essentially, small changes can have large impacts. In my head, this connects with the thousands of tiny decisions we subconsciously make each day. There are people I've met or things that have happened and it feels like it was meant to be but they're just a bunch of coincidences that had the ability to change everything.
