How to keep yourself sane in quarantine- by Jack Ginsberg

All new jerseyites have been on lockdown for the past seven and a half month. As many of us have found out quarantine isn't exactly the pleasant time of work and school we all expected. Isolation from all people outside your immediate family can take a toll on your mental health. It is vital to find ways to stay busy during these trying times. Picking up a time consuming hobby like drawing or whittling can present a person with an enjoyable pastime and provide a meaningful way to spend the day. 

Spending time with family members is also a great way to deal with the monotonous drudgery of quarantine. I have spent many nights with my parents or siblings. Even if you don't completely get along with all your family members human interaction is vital to mental health. I have found that a mix of both spending time with family and developing new hobbies is the way to go if your looking to get through lockdown in one piece.
