My favorite quarantine activities- Lauren Ambrosino

Being in isolation and stuck at home with our families makes it pretty difficult to find something to do when all you have is time. It seems like all we can do is watch Netflix or hours of Tik Tok (which I don't mind), but I want to share some of my favorite things to do to keep myself from going crazy.
My first activity is coloring. I have no artistic ability, so I color in coloring books that have all different kinds of patterns. I like to do this while listening to music or podcasts. My favorite podcast right now is Views with David Dobrik and Jason Nash. Coloring is definitely very relaxing and calms my mind, I recommend trying it.
My next activity is making fun foods. I spend a lot of time on Tik Tok, and there I find a lot of different recipes and since I have so much time I try them. Some of the best I tried are whipped coffee, strawberry milk, edible cookie dough, oatmeal pancakes, and peanut butter rice krispie treats. This is one of my favorite activities because it keeps me busy and my family usually likes the food I make so they're happy with it too.
After that, I really like to workout or go for walks. In attempts to avoid laying in bed all day, I also find Tik Toks that have workouts and I like to try those. With my softball team, we also have google calls where we do a workout all together which I really enjoy. Also, on nice days going for walks is really nice, not to sound like a mom, but listening to music and just getting to leave the house is a nice break. I live near a beach so I really like to walk there.
This next activity is my personal favorite that I am lucky I have an older sister to do this with. We both like to get out of the house, but there's really nowhere to go. Luckily, she can drive so we go to a coffee drive through. We go to usually Dunkin or Starbucks, but the problem is that majority of them have closed and are limited to only the ones with a drive through. So, we find ourselves driving all over gods creation just to buy a cop of coffee. The other day we drove all the way to Wayne to go to an open Starbucks, but when we got there the line went twice around the building and around almost to the road and they told us we had to leave because there were already too many people on line. The next day we went to a different one where the line led to the road but it only took about 25 minutes to get our drinks. The lines don't really matter to me, I just like to get out of the house. Still social distancing of course though.
These are just some of my favorite activities that keep me busy!
