What I Do During Quarantine - Andy Stefancik

After school is over, I eat lunch. My family never really ate lunch together, even on the weekend when we were all home. But over quarantine, we have all been having lunch together, which is pretty nice. After lunch, I'll usually play MLB The Show for an hour or so and talk with my friends online, and then after that, if it is a nice day out, I'll go on my trampoline or play basketball. 

A Realistic Look at Online Education — The Shaw AcademySince the coronavirus has basically shut down the United States, all of us have been stuck at home for the past month and a half. There is no school, no extra-curricular activities, nothing. So, you can imagine that it gets pretty boring. I try to keep myself entertained as best as possible, and this is how I do it.

Since we still have online school, everyone still has to do that. Personally, I do it right when I get up because I don't really want it hanging over my head all day. I usually wake up around 8:30, and then finish my work between 11 or 12, and I go to whatever live sessions I have that day.

If it is raining outside, however, we are confined to the inside of our homes, in which case I'll watch TV, workout, play my guitar, or do whatever else I feel like doing.

Usually, around five o'clock, if it is nice outside, my brother and I will go play baseball in the backyard, and then after that, before dinner, we'll go for a drive around the lake just to get out of the house.

I'd be lying if I said that quarantine wasn't boring at times, but it does put other freedoms that we have in perspective, and it allows us to spend more valuable time with our families. I doubt that we'll have anything like this in our lives ever again, and after this comes Junior and Senior year, and then college and then jobs. This is the last time that we will ever have this much free time to do whatever we want, and I think we will look back through all of the sickness and economic downfall and see the silver lining, which was that we had a chance to be with our families all day every day, and we will miss that once it is gone.

    I thought this was a great topic to write about because it is what everyone is going through as well. From my personal experience I am getting tired of this because it is really boring. Good job on your blog!

          When I contemplate what is most important in my life, my mind is drawn to my 21-year-old brother, Tom. There are not enough words in the English language I could use to describe what he means to me. I cannot imagine the past fifteen years of my life without him. Not Fate, Just a Coincidence - Sila Paniker

The idea of fate confuses me. I don't really understand how something will happen no matter what you do. It just seems very unlikely. I think we're constantly making choices that lead to occurrences. We make so many decisions a day that it seems impossible that fate can find a way around it all.  Awhile ago, I saw something called the Butterfly Effect, which doesn't exactly relate to fate but it makes sense to me. The idea is that a butterfly flapping its wings can cause a tornado on the other side of the world. Essentially, small changes can have large impacts. In my head, this connects with the thousands of tiny decisions we subconsciously make each day. There are people I've met or things that have happened and it feels like it was meant to be but they're just a bunch of coincidences that had the ability to change everything.
