Gabby Canz's Cake Review by Hannah Ramos

So yesterday my was my 16th birthday and it was a great day. But one of the main things that made my birthday so great was a special delivery, from a very special person, Gabby Canzoniero. This angel, made, and decorated, an entire cake for me. So here is my review of it.

Flavor...
The flavor of this cake was immaculate. It was a confetti cake, as per my request, and let me tell you... it was delicous. The cake was the perfect balance between sweet, but not too sweet, and the confetti coloring was stunning.

Texture...
Now, this was not your average cake mix box cake. This cake was was made 100% from scratch, and the advanced level of cake definitely showed it. The texture was truly extraordinary because it was moist and soft, but also didn't crumble everywhere and cause a mess. Not every cake baker has the skills to make a cake like this one.

Frosting...
The frosting was a simple, yet classy buttercream. This topped off the cake perfectly and added a sweet, smooth texture to counteract the cake. The frosting was also applied to perfection, not too much, but not too little.

Decoration...
The decorating of this cake was elegant, colorful, and fun. In a thin blue icing, the words 'HAPPY BDAY' were written in the perfect shape and size. Around the edges, the top of the cake was lined with exciting and vibrant rainbow sprinkles. This decorating job was absolutely amazing.

Overall, my cake was a 1,000,000,000/10. I would DEFINITELY recommend going to Gabby Canzoniero for all your birthday cake needs.

          When I contemplate what is most important in my life, my mind is drawn to my 21-year-old brother, Tom. There are not enough words in the English language I could use to describe what he means to me. I cannot imagine the past fifteen years of my life without him. Not Fate, Just a Coincidence - Sila Paniker

The idea of fate confuses me. I don't really understand how something will happen no matter what you do. It just seems very unlikely. I think we're constantly making choices that lead to occurrences. We make so many decisions a day that it seems impossible that fate can find a way around it all.  Awhile ago, I saw something called the Butterfly Effect, which doesn't exactly relate to fate but it makes sense to me. The idea is that a butterfly flapping its wings can cause a tornado on the other side of the world. Essentially, small changes can have large impacts. In my head, this connects with the thousands of tiny decisions we subconsciously make each day. There are people I've met or things that have happened and it feels like it was meant to be but they're just a bunch of coincidences that had the ability to change everything.
