Quarantine TV Show Recommendations by Sam Stankiewicz
Here is a list of my favorite TV shows, what they are about, and why they are so entertaining to watch!
1. NCIS

NCIS (Naval Criminal Investigative Service) is a show about special agents that solve criminal cases associated with the Navy. On Netflix, it offers 15 seasons that are action-packed, and each episode will have you on the edge of your seat predicting who the killer is. The show is written so so well, as there are many twists and turns in the plot. Even if you don't like the murder aspect, there is always a love story in the background. I completely recommend this show and give it a 10/10! (I have watched it 3 times over on Netflix)
2. Friends

A classic. If you aren't familiar with FRIENDS, this show is about six friends and how they live and love each other like family! It is such a sweet show with added comedy, and each episode is great to watch if you need to get in a better mood. Their personalities are so different, but this show illustrates how anyone can be friends! I give this show a 9/10...only because I wanted Joey and Phoebe to eventually get together.
3. The Golden Girls
Yes, at fifteen years old I absolutely love a show about older women that was released in the 80's. The Golden Girls is a sitcom about these four different women (above) and how they live together. One is all about the men, one is sarcastic and a traditional Italian grandma, another is her daughter who is a substitute teacher, and finally, one who was raised on a farm and isn't the brightest. This show is hysterical. It never fails to make me laugh every five seconds with sarcasm or just a great joke. There is a reason why it is still on TV today! It's a 10/10 for me.
4. You

I also happen to like stalker and obsessive shows for some reason! This show is about a man named Joe Goldberg, and his terrible experiences with women...I mean the man is so bad with women. In season 1, he finds a girl named Beck and follows her everywhere, but on the surface is a normal guy. Some things happen, and by season 2 he changed his name to Will Bettelheim and started to fall in love with another woman. By watching this show you get to witness Joe's obsessive nature and need to fall in love...Eat. Sleep. Stalk. Repeat. This is how I think of Joe, but somehow he makes the show intriguing. This show is a 9.5/10 for me only because they need to come out with a season 3 quicker...I watched season 2 in two days.
5. Glee

Glee isn't just for theater kids, so don't turn this show away for that. It's definitely not a favorite, but I do recommend this show because it is funny and I personally love singing along to the songs they sing every episode. Throughout the seasons you see each cast member grow up through high school, sing, and perform. You will find yourself pairing glee members together to make a power couple, and there are so many complicated relationships in this show. Although, I give it a 7/10, because after season 3 ended the original glee club members graduated, and a new set of people were introduced. I did not really like the new members, and the show wasn't as entertaining after the originals left. But, it is still a good show to invest your time in.
All of these TV shows are extremely different, but fun to watch! Especially in quarantine, there is really nothing else to do besides work and sleep...so why not give one of these a try?!
A good list!

ReplyDeleteUnpopular opinion but while I enjoyed watching Friends, it wasn't that funny and kind of overrated. Sorryyyyy
