Schedule During Quarantine? May Blog 2020- Brianna Burns
So days are looking a little different then the used to. Most days we can wake up at whatever time we want, don't need to worry about waking up at 6 am, have the day pretty much to ourselves without our friends or outside activities. but I find having a little structure, or schedule in our life can help us out a bit. I'm pretty go with the flow but I like to have my weekdays planned and have a routine of some kind. I think that it keeps me in check, allows for me to get things done, and leave time for me to do my own things. Her are some tips I like to do to stay in order and to well manage your days at home.
1. Make a to do list or plan out your day.
Set a time for yourself to sit down and make a list of the things you need to get done. I like to this the night before and write down assignments I know I need to complete. You can even do this in the morning when teachers start spamming you with emails at 8 am. I know the feeling.
2. Sit, and get it done
I find that if I just sit for 2-3 hours straight and get all my work done in one hit, it's far better for me. This does not work for everyone so find a schedule that works for you, and during that time, make sure you devote yourself to your schoolwork. turn your phone on do not disturb if you have to.
3. Exercise
Doing some kind of physical activity is so important. Many of us do sports, so do some training for that. Find a workout on youtube. Go on a run. personally I like to set aside around 3-4 hours for myself to do some kind of exercise, or to be active in some way. I have a set workout and training routine that i stick to each day, and some days I change it up to make it more exciting.
4. Talk to your friends!
So we may not be able to see them face to face right now, but call them or facetime.
I didn't realize how good this was for me, and how much it really makes my day just that much better, until I did it.
5. You time
At the end of the day, set time for yourself. I like to watch T.V, find a movie, sit in my bed in relax. During this time I usually will call my friends, and some nights we end up talking for hours!
There you have it, schedule in quarantine. Not to structured, but just enough to make sure things get accomplished and to have fun during the day.
